Conversation Analysis & Clinical Encounters (CACE)
Holywell Park, Loughborough University UK
3-5 July 2015
This is to remind you that the 5th International Conference on Conversation Analysis & Medical Encounters (CACE 2015) is to be held at Holywell Park Conference Centre, Loughborough University, 3-5 July 2015.
This meeting provides an opportunity to share your latest and perhaps on-going Conversation Analytic research on any area of medical practice and healthcare treatment, and to learn about what other people in the field are doing. There’s a real emphasis on participation, interchange, sharing research ideas and findings – as much of a ‘hands on’ approach as is possible within the constraints of such a meeting. The plenary speakers for CACE 2015 are:
v Jon Hindmarsh (King’s College, London University)
v Jeff Robinson (Portland State University, USA)
v Merran Toerien (University of York)
v Markus Reuber (Academic Neurology Unit, University of Sheffield, & the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield)
In addition to these there will be opportunities for 24 half-hour presentations, eight 90-minute data sessions, and for poster presentations.
You’ll find the formal announcement of the conference, together with a presentation proposal form, at http://homepages.lboro.ac.uk/~ssca1/CACE2015/CACE2015.html
Proposals should be emailed to admin@cace2015.co.uk by the 28th February 2015. It is expected that the programme will be available by mid-April 2015.
There is also a link on that site to register for the conference; early registration is advised because numbers will be limited, as previously announced.
If you have questions about this event, please email Paul Drew (p.drew@lboro.ac.uk) for further information.
