    In the afternoon on May 26, 2017, more than one hundred people, including all CPC members among teachers and students as well as young teachers under the age of 45 in School of Foreign Languages (SFL),attended a party lecture given by the SFL Party Secretary Liu Chunyuan in ConferenceRoom 301.

    The theme of Party Secretary Liu's lecture was To advance the institutionalization and normalization of ‘Party building studies' and to maintain the core of the Partywith practicalaction.In the history of party building and ideological and political work in SFL, it was the first time to havea party lecture in such a massive and intensive way. Party Secretary Liu said that before the lecture he conducted some research about the concernsof students and teachers, and the purpose of bringing everybody here for a joint learning was to draw attention and provoke thoughts about our work and life.All the teachers are encouraged to integrate the socialist core values into their professional teaching. All the Party members among contemporary university students, in addition toearnestly treating theirschool work, are expected to boost political sensitivity, understand vital purposes and significance of “studies on the theoretical and practical issues of party building” within the party. We should allrally closely around the Party's Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core and play a pioneering role in our work, study and social life.

   Party Secretary Liu’s lecture is not just about the history and theory of CommunistParty of China,but also includes a couple of ancient and modern anecdotes as well as somestories from the Internet, which makes the tedious theory interesting and easy to understand. His lecture guides Party members and young teachers ofSFLtoset up lofty ideals and beliefs, to promote socialist core values vigorously, to strengthen the consciousness of CPC's aim, to study the party rules and regulations, to study the series of speeches of President Xiand to enhance their special skills so as to become qualified Party members and teachers with whompeople are satisfied.
