杨林秀，厦门大学博士，山西大学教授，博士生导师。英国伯明翰大学访问学者。现任山西大学外国语学院院长、山西省高等院校外语教学研究会秘书长，中国英汉语比较研究会功能语言学专业委员会常务理事，中国英汉语比较研究会教育语言学专业委员会常务理事。主要研究方向为系统功能语言学、语篇分析和学术话语研究。在国内外SSCI及CSSCI专业学术期刊发表文章三十余篇。主持完成教育部人文社会科学青年基金“英语学术语篇中言据性的人际意义研究”和国家社会科学基金项目“言据性与语篇类型研究”，主持完成省级项目多项，获得省级科研奖项多项，目前在研教育部人文社科规划项目“基于语料库的英汉学术语篇中作者自我呈现方式的对比研究”。已出版《言据性与语篇类型》（外语教学与研究出版社）和《英语学术论文中的言据性研究》（科学出版社）两部专著，合作译著一部《希腊史》。2013年入选教育部新世纪人才；2018年入选山西省“三晋英才”支持计划拔尖骨干人才。
